SMS Terms of Service
By opting in to receive SMS messages through a web form or another consent method, you agree to receive text messages from Muskogee County Head Start and Early Head Start (MCHSOK).
Messages may include attendance notifications, critical-incident alerts, program schedule changes, weather-related closures or delays, and other important program communications.
Message frequency may vary. Message and data rates may apply. For assistance, reply HELP. To stop receiving messages, reply STOP at any time.

1. SMS Consent and Privacy
Phone numbers and consent information collected through the SMS opt-in process will not be sold, rented, or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
Information may be shared with service providers only as necessary to deliver SMS messages on behalf of MCHSOK and as otherwise permitted or required by law.
Consent to receive SMS messages is not a condition of enrollment in or receipt of services from MCHSOK.
2. Types of SMS Communications
After providing consent, you may receive messages from MCHSOK concerning:
To protect the privacy of children and families, text messages may provide only general information and ask the parent or guardian to contact MCHSOK for additional details.
Example Messages
Attendance notification:
“Hello, this is an attendance notification from MCHSOK regarding your child’s attendance today. Please contact your child’s center for more information. Reply STOP to opt out.”
Critical-incident notification:
“This is an important message from MCHSOK. Please contact your child’s center as soon as possible regarding an incident involving your child. For privacy, additional details will not be provided by text. Reply STOP to opt out.”
Schedule-change notification:
“MCHSOK will be closed on [date] due to severe weather. Programs and transportation services will resume as scheduled on [date], unless otherwise notified. Reply STOP to opt out.”
3. Message Frequency
Message frequency will vary depending on attendance, weather conditions, schedule changes, emergencies, and other program-related circumstances.
You may receive recurring messages while your child is enrolled in or receiving services from MCHSOK. During urgent situations, multiple messages may be sent within a short period.
4. Potential Messaging Fees
Standard message and data rates may apply according to your wireless carrier and service plan. Charges may vary depending on your carrier and whether messages are sent or received domestically or internationally.
MCHSOK is not responsible for charges assessed by your wireless carrier.
5. Opt-In Methods
You may opt in to receive SMS messages from MCHSOK through one or more of the following methods:
By opting in, you confirm that you are the authorized user of the telephone number provided or have permission from the authorized user to enroll the number in the SMS program.
6. Opt-Out Methods
You may stop receiving SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any message from MCHSOK.
After submitting an opt-out request, you may receive one final message confirming that you have been unsubscribed. You may also contact MCHSOK directly at 918-687-6611 to request removal from the SMS messaging list.
Opting out of SMS messages will not affect your child’s enrollment, eligibility, or access to MCHSOK services. Important information may instead be communicated through telephone calls, email, written notices, or other available methods.
7. Help and Support
For assistance with SMS messages, reply HELP to any message from MCHSOK.

8. Choosing Not to Receive SMS Messages
Receiving SMS messages is optional. You may choose not to select the SMS consent option on MCHSOK forms.
Parents and guardians who do not consent to SMS messaging should ensure that MCHSOK has an alternative method for communicating important attendance, safety, closure, and schedule information.
